Ingredients
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Large red onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 Fresh green chilies
- 150 ml Natural yoghurt
- 2 tblsp Coriander leaf, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- Salt
Method
Heat a small cast iron pan and dry fry the cumin seeds until they begin to pop (1 to 2 minutes). Let the seeds cool then crush them in a mortar.
Cut the red onion in half. Cut a few thin slices for the garnish then finely chop the remainder. Crush the garlic and finely chop the chilies.
Put the yoghurt into a bowl and stir in the chopped onions and chilies, the garlic, the crushed cumin seeds and coriander. Add sugar and salt to taste.
Cover and chill until ready to serve, Garnish with the onion slices and some extra coriander before serving. |
