Naan Chicken Sandwich PDF Print E-mail

  • 4 Small naans
  • 3 tblsp Natural yoghurt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tblsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tblsp Coriander leaf, chopped
  • 2 Fresh green chilies, chopped
  • 450 gm Chicken, cubed
  • 1 tblsp Vegetable oil
  • 8 Onion rings
  • 2 Tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/2 White cabbage, shredded
  • Lemon wedges, 2 small tomatoes, halved, mixed salad leaves and fresh coriander leaf to garnish.
Method

Carefully cut into the middle of each naan to make a pocket. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix together the yoghurt, garam masala, chili powder, salt, lemon juice, coriander leaf and green chilies. Pour over the cubed chicken and leave to marinate for 1 hour.

Preheat the grill to very hot then reduce to medium. Place the chicken in a grill pan and grill for 15 to 20 minutes until tender. Stir the chicken and baste it occasionally during the cooking.

Fill each naan with the chicken and then the onion rings, tomatoes and shredded cabbage. Serve with the garnish.
