Chicken Fritters PDF Print E-mail

  • 2 Spring onions, bulb and leaf cut off.
  • 450 gm Chicken, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh green chili, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tblsp White flour
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying
Method

Slice the spring onions diagonally very finely.

Put the minced chicken in a bowl, add the turmeric, chili powder, green chilies, salt, black pepper, spring onions and flour and mix thoroughly. Add the beaten eggs and mix again. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Heat the oil in a wok over a low flame. Spoon the chicken in balls, about 50 mm across, into the oil and fry until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Drain on absorbent paper.
