Ingredients
- 450 gm Potatoes, boiled and drained
- 450 gm Beef, minced
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 6 Spring onions, chopped
- 3 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp Ground nutmeg
- 1 tblsp Coriander seeds, dry roasted and ground
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds, dry roasted and ground
- 4 Eggs, beaten
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
Method
While the potatoes are still warm, mash in a bowl. Add the minced beef and stir. Add the onion, spring onion, garlic and ground spices. Mix well. Add sufficient beaten egg to form a soft consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Form the fritters.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and add the fritters in a single layer. Fry without stirring for 3 minutes to keep the shape. Turn and fry for a further 2 minutes until cooked through. Drain on kitchen paper and serve. |
